Turbo help!!!!!!!!

I need help with my turbo i have a s300 66/14 pdr turbo and when i throtlle up i hear a strange noise like skreching from the turbo but it spins 100% freely, its ok if i run it on low rpm.. today i removed the filtler and saw something got into the intake of the turbo the wheel has a little damage, i used to have 45 psi of boost now i only get 30 and it makes a wired sound..would it help putting in a new wheel? or is the problem somewhere else, here are some pics..
Thanks

Sometimes people don't see the thread, or know the answer to your question.

The blades have some pretty obvious damadge, I'd have somewhere that rebuilds turbos look at it. There could also be internal turbo or engine damadge as well, those pieces of metal have to go somewhere.

something deffinately got in your turbo, dont just change the wheel. the noise is imbalance from the missing parts of blade off the comp. wheel. dont forget, these things are spinning upwards of 100,000 R.P.M. balance is critical. also the pieces of chipped blade as well as what chipped em have made their way into your intercooler. hopefully getting stuck there and didnt make it through the engines intake. or they could have made it all the way through the engine and caused dammage to the turbine wheel as well. find out where the foreign object came from and make sure it doesn't happen again. like running with no air filter. or a hole in the filter, etc. Take it off and spring for a rebuild

On my 05 I had a similar sound, it turned out to be hairline cracks on the exhaust side of the turbo, over heated and over boosted, I hope I could help, and good luck to ya.

From the pics it looks like the fins are rubbing the inside of the housing, probably from the imbalance at high revs. Ive seen the same thing on large industrial engines and we thanked our lucky stars that we caught it before it completed grenaded. Get thet turbo off asap so you dont cause damage to the aftercooler or the engine. i would also clean and check the aftercooler , piping and intake for the debris from the turbo. 1 small piece of junk can reak havoc on your engine. Just my .02 worth

so this is what caused low boost or what?

that wheel looks not good! too bad its such an expensive charger u ahve on there. that happened once on one of our trucks, with a stock charger, but it seemed to continue to work well...

well good luck!

yea the slightest damage will affect it greatly. Make sure who ever puts a new comp wheel on it they ballance it and do it right. A VSR balancing machine would be the best.
