TST kit or not

Good day everyone
I'm new here and I,m sure this has been bashed around but I could not find it. I have a 95 with an auto. I have straight pipes(3" split into a pair of 2 1/5) A BHAF and I have gages I also installed a valve into the waste gate line to increase the boost. I turned the star wheel and moved the plate forward.
My question is what more could I do(cheap) to her.
Thanks
Ken

If you don't want to blow the cash on the kit just do a search for governor washer kit on here. It only costs as much as two washers and you get close to the same effect. Hope you have gauges too.

Don't forget the fix the KDP..... No performance, but can save you a ton of cash.

I'd say the 4K kit as well, big gain for the money. Well, actually you might want to go with a 3K because you would need 60 LB valve springs with the 4k.

do a search on "free gsk" and do that, also AFC mods are good. great write up on one of the other forums http://www.dieselram.com/showthread.php?t=184069 For cheap power adders thats about it as the stock trannys don't handle much more than stock HP. If real power is what you're after then you'll need a set of gauges and some transmission upgrades. Our 12 valve trucks can make a ridiculous amount of power just depends on how much you're willing to spend! good luck, welcome to the site.

Question to Maxtorq or anyone else

Sir
I did the mods to the afc unit as suggested in Maxtorq's thread but when it comes to adjusting the star wheel I do not have access to a regulated air pressure. Is there a way I can do this manually and is there a starting point such as from all the why in three turns out for an example.

Thanks for the help
Ken

Adjusting the starwheel just depends on how much smoke you want on acceleration.
Start with it all the way forward and work from there.

i was kinda hoping to make it to at least 35 before anybody called me SIR oh well. Infidel is right, everybody's tastes are different, just adjust it back till you get a good balance between smoke and acceleration. Regulated air just allows you to set it on the bench for the amount of boost that your particular setup allows you to produce.
