Update, the truck is fixed and I have to hand over $1500 to the dealer . They had to replace the alternator $425, the Pcm $600, $100 for the diagnostic and about $300 for labor and fixing a few other wiring problems i didnt get to. But they say its running and shifting great.

The only code its throwing is an intermediate gov pressure sensor, but I will address that down the road when I start to go thru the drive line and suspension to restore or upgrade everything alittle at a time.

All thats left now is to pick her up thursday, change the oil and grab a new filter, get her inspected. Then she should be good to go, I'm just on the hunt for a complete good condition used dash. I might can reuse the old one for a while but would prefer not to, as its cracked in alot of places. Still need to put in a new heater core while it is out thou.

LOL, Take a road trip to Illinois, I have a good gray dash.........

Hate to see the $$$ but actually, for a Dealership that price isn't too bad.

I might have to do that, but up next are new brakes, some front end work and I have a few small leaks to track down.

There is a TSB to correct that issue.
Dealer should have loaded the PCM with the latest package.

edit
found it TSB 21-04-00 http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2000/21-04-00.htm
