A friend of mine has a 97 2500 4x4 auto. After towing 7000lbs for a couple of hours when he goes up a hill the tranny slips really bad. He doesn't have gauges (yet) but the tourqe conerter was replaced about 6,000 miles ago. Does this sound like the t/c is toast? why would it only do it after a long drive?

First check the fluid level, warm, in nuetral.
