Too many miles?

Well guys im about to buy another I just need some reassurance. I’m looking at a 98, 12 valve, qc, silver, 4x4 long box, auto, the trans was rebuilt 30k ago front and rear diffs rebuilt about 15-20k ago. The only thing is she has a few miles on her 266000 to be precise. The guy says he has owned her since new and they use it to go get parts all over the US. So those miles are mostly highway. I wouldn’t even be considering it except that the price is right 7,800.00. So what do you guys think should I go for it? oh its also stock.

stock is generally better to buy IMO unless you know the previous owner personally, otherwise you can't tell how it was treated... (more power more broken parts) the price seems right and i wouldn't worry about the miles... as long as it hand regular maint. it shouldn't be a problem. i would check the front end... ball joints tie rod ends etc. with that many mile it is the only thing i would be concerened about. good luck and i hope it works out for ya.

it should hold up just fine... and i say should because it all depends on how it's set up and how you drive it....

102k w/ a goerend transmission sounds nice!
After doing a lot of reading, it sounds like a built auto can out perform a manual tranny. I'm considering a Goerend T/C and V/B for mine.
Yeah... I'm in DC now. It's like living in an ant hill (too many people!).
