Is there a source for the overflow valve spring?

I took one out of a truck the other day, and gave it a stretch. The truck ran much better, so i figured id call for a new one. The dealer wanted like $140, while the local cummins garage wanted something like $130. It seems rediculous since its only the spring i really need. I know the local fasterner store, Fastenal, has listings for tons of springs. We really just need to know the length and compression specs for the spring, and we all could have an inexpensive way of solving the worn spring problem. Since I only have a worn spring, i have no way of knowing what is correct. Maybe someone here works at dodge or cummins, and could "borrow" one to measure. I think it would be worthwhile for all. Thanks everyone!

Call Piers they have the whole valve for less than 1/2 of either of those prices.

get the whole valve from the above listed sources. the stock ones have some shims in there to get the pressures correct. if you could get flow rate and pressure for a stock one then you could calibrate one with an after market spring but for 50 bucks for new it seems like a lot of work for nothing
