overflow valve ?
overflow valve ?
I replaced my lift pump a couple of weeks ago and my fuel pressure is still low (16@idle and 24@wot). I plan on replacing my overflow valve this weekend. Is it really that easy or is there anything I need to look out for?
Re:overflow valve ?
I'm not sure about the pressure numbers but if you're having low power it may be the overflow valve. It's easy to change. Check this site part way down for replacement procedures and torque. Just watch for the gaskets on both sides of the bango Overflow valve replacement.

If you want to check to see if that is the problem, try this link Overflow valve diagnosis.

Hope that helps. There are a few spots online to order valves from I think around $50 - 60. Good luck

Keep something stuffed down behind and below the over flow valve to catch the seals if they fall into never never land,If you order from Marty above besure and call as he does run out of them from time to time and there was recent price increase, also he sells the new seals with the valves just ask,at his price two is the way to go as to have a spare of for a fellow cummins guy, they are excellent replacements and he is a great guy to do buisness with and to talk to about injection pumps.Oh yea don't get him started on football

The 12 valve banjo is a different size than the 24 valve one, don't know of anyone selling them but it's easy to tap one yourself. Just drill the appropriate size hole for 1/8'' NPT up though the inside of the bolt to keep it straight then tap it from the top. Install a 1/8''M X 1/8''Fe needle valve (less than $5) in the new port and you'll be all set.
