Overflow valve spring broken
Overflow valve spring broken
I just took out my overflow valve to see if some of my problems might becoming from there. After I undid the top and pulled out the spring I noticed that the last 1.75 coils were broken off. Also on the valve where the two holes are, you should see a ball. On one side was the ball on the other was the perch for the spring. With the spring held together it measures 12mm. Should I stretch the unbroken piece to 11 or 12mm. This is my work truck and I have to have it. Where can I get an new valve, cheap? Thanks for your help!

Overflow from piers
I got my overflow from pdr piers diesel I think 55 $ plus ship. be carefull no little parst escape to damage your system.. Mabe strech spring but this is not a fix but a crutch. my understanding this is a pretty accuratly adjusted part.
Make sure to replace the OF valve soon.
Stretching the spring without a fuel pressure gauge can result in way high fuel pressure which can result in expensive damage and stuck on the side of the road.

I got mine here. Stock Bosch part, http://www.tstproducts.com/index.asp...PROD&ProdID=32
I ordered my overflow valve from Precision Diesel Injection and Turbo Inc.

I just wanted to let infidel and everyone else know that the price has gone up. It use to be $35 plus shipping, now it is $40 plus shipping. It is still a great deal. I hope it fixes my problems.
