Well I guess its official. I "own" my truck.

Tabbed the Cummins today, bad elbow and all. So now I'm emotionally invested.... the 3gsk is next...

I was able to do it with just the fan shroud off. The hardest part was the fan assembly nut. The BFH and a drift worked well, as suggested.
I re-used the cover gasket, cleaning it up pretty good first and a small bead of grey RTV on both surfaces. New shaft gasket though.

Several of the cover bolts were loose and thats where the seeps were coming from.

The KDP was flush, so for those who are keeping track here was one that was not coming out yet @ 136,000miles.
