Ok, I feel like a burden has been lifted. I finally got my KDP Tabbed and inspected the gears. Had to make my tab, the one shown for a 97 was not the same. Used the parts list and the gasket PN 3918673 was wrong also. Had to resuse the old gasket. So far, no leaks. It had not moved that I could tell. At 218 K miles, I am surprised. Thanks for the advise. I still have a 90 to do this week. It has 125,000 on it. I am going to have to check on the gasket situation though. Got to swap it out.

This is a really easy job if any of you are scared to do it. I was fearful to start with. Really nothing to it if you take your time. I have to go back in mine to replace the gasket. The part number that I got was for a 97. The first gens have a different cover evidently. Anybody that lives in south Ga and wants this done, let me know. I never meet a stranger and love tinkering.
