Stupid Question

What is the silencer ring and where is it located. I would like to make my turbo whine louder.

take the rubber intake boot off of your turbo, pop the snap ring out, it can be a bonstred. remove both ring and donut shaped shinny tin ring, hang on wall next to deer head, replace boot, clamp and enjoy!

Will this cause any kind of damage or performance loss?

I would imagine not but I am asking anyway.

No it will not, I have removed mine. Dodge put this in because owners complained about the turbo whine. Don’t ask me I love it, but dodge put it in so there must have been some complaints.
