something is obviously wrong no power

Ok my problem is im building alot of boost with extremely slow take off spool up and extremely high egts. When im at wot I will hit 40lbs of boost and 1800-2000* on the pyro. Im so lost the truck is not fast until the highway and im in lockup then it will move. Also blows a munch of black smoke on take off but blows smoke all the time too. Really need help with this guys

you should tells us what truck you have and what mods you have done. My truck shows 38 lbs boost and I was told 40 was the turbo`s limit before it poofs lol. My pyro pre turbo is at 1100 on a hill pulling my fiver at 10500 lbs at 50 mph.I have never seen the pyro temps over 1100 deg.I get slight hazing for a start off with the skinny petal down but that is it. Clear pulling on a hill.

If it was mine I wouldn't get my EGT`s that high, your going to get a melt down. truck info will help.

If youre running a stock turbo, those are only good for 35psi or so before they start to make hot air and raise EGT.

Without knowing what has been done to the engine it's hard to say what's wrong but your symptoms sound exactly like a clogged up cat.
