is something wrong?

I have never drivin or ridden in any other modded ctd other than mine. I have never dynoed or raced, I know my truck seems to run well and gets moving pretty fast. I have 3.55 gears. Tires are 285-75-16. It just seems like with the mods done to my truck and the fact that I have a one tire fire i would have a pretty bad traction problem. Which I don't, at least in the dry. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining I would rather not have to baby the throttle everywhere but I'm kinda wondering if something may be wrong? Weak vp44 or something. No hard starting, plenty of smoke, no codes. Boost about 34 psi. Any input appreciated. Thanks
Luke

I would venture the combiniation of the HX-40 and the lack of a timing box are whats demolishing your bottom end torque.

As for getting that bottom end monster, its easy.... MAD ECM !!!!

If you dont want the full throttle snapping fury of the MAD ECM, get an EZ. I hated the bottom end of my truck until I stacked the EZ with my TST...But I really want the MAD !!!

Only way to tell is to either put it on a dyno or take it to the strip. I'm guessing you should dyno somewhere around 420-450hp.

wow I was hoping for 475. You guys are right. I just need to take it and dyno it. I just don't have too much time. Closest dyno shop is Dynomite diesel and its an hour with no traffic. Sounds like an excuse to take a day off of work! Thanks

Now that I've got some beer in me, you should be 450-475. My sober math ain't that great.

I'll have to see one of these days. I've had the truck since january and done all the mods myself but no dyno runs yet. BTW BigBlue, the 3rd gen badges look good. I've been thinking of doing that for awhile.
