thats not the point. when you are trying to show your side of the argument, and you are constantly misspelling words, the effect of your argument is lessened because people are no longer focusing on the content. just my .02.

Yes, spelling counts.
If you are trying to communicate an idea to someone, they must understand your medium.

It used to be that you couldn't read the handwriting. On the net that variable has been removed. Funny, a person can log 5000 posts and still doesn't know the difference between there, their and they're.
Just as bad is 237 word count with no puncuation. It hurts to try and read that stuff.

flame me....

Tractorbynet.com has a spell checker feature before you post. I was turned on to the site (or "sight" as some here might know it as). Some people just don't think baout root words etc. Anyway, it's a great place to be if you have a compact tractor.

little things dont bother me. if i understand the post regardless of spelling okay. if i dont then ask for clarification. the thing that bothers me is politically correct people. NONE of us are perfect.

The thing about us lowlifes is, we can't spell worth a cow patty so the conversation isn't lost over misspelt words. And it's a good thing we don't write to the internet posts. Unless I write very slowly, I write like I'm having a convulsion. But I do know the difference between there, their, and they're.
I remember once at a friend's house, his mother got after him about saying, for instance, "is that one for Hannibal and me?" She insisted he say "Hannibal and I." Fine and dandy except in that instance it would be Hannibal and me. If you remove "Hannibal" you wouldn't say "is that one for I?" If we were to say "Hannibal and I are going to the store" then the "I" would be correct. Remove the Hannibal and it's "I am going to the store". Just one of my memories of the perfectionist gone wrong.

That typoglycema study

as long as the mind can recognize the first and last letters of the word, it automatically assumes what it is.. so spelling dont bother me...
