Exclamation Is there something wrong with my steering box????

So, I can drive down the road and one day my steering wheel will be straight, the next nay it will be 30 degrees off to the right and then the next day 30 degrees off to the left. I have the borgenson shaft and a new drag link on there. The bracket it tight on both the box and the frame....so what can it be? Im starting to get a bit worried, any one else have this problem?

Have someone work the wheel while you watch from below to see if you can locate where the slack is.

mine was doing that and what it was, is that the shaft was slipping around the input shaft on the steering box, its hard to notice, but every once in a while you can hear a click from it

EDIT: slide your steering shaft around up and down and try to turn it and see if it slips around the input shaft on the steering box while the truck is off

Ck the rear axle u-bolts/block esp if it`s lifted, I`ve had them loosen up and do that.

I drove a chevy tow truck that did the same thing and it was caused by the front leaf springs. They were opening up where they curl around the front bushing and that would let the front rear move around.

Mike, check the pitman arm nut on the box, they can back off there too.
