Lightbulb Steering problems on an 06? What gives??? Is there something I can do?

I was looking at getting something like this from Borgeson.

I had the steering shaft replaced at 22k miles and now at 26k miles it is starting to make sounds and feel loose again.

Is the shaft the problem?

Do I need to reinforce the steering box?

Do I need steering stabilizers?

Has anyone else had this many problems on a new truck?

What the H@^^ gives?

Whats your steering shaft doing ? Mine makes a popping noise only when it has set for a while and never after being driven.

I thought those shafts weren't available for the '06.

Those Borgeson units are top-shelf, but what is happening to your stockers?

Is your sig complete?

It makes a clunking sound and you can feel it in the wheel and pedals. On uneven roads it can click almost all the time. The dealer said the first time that the steering intermediate shaft needed to be replaced. Now it is doing it again.

My sig is complete. I am worried about the 315's but honestly it started the first time with the stockers...

I have tried to get a hold of Borgeson to see if they have a unit that will fit my truck but no one has gotten back to me. There website isn't very clear.

Isn't this really odd on a new truck?

Could there be something else that is causing this problem?

That's strange - the 315s shouldn't have anything to do with it...
does it "click" when driving straight?

My Stainless Steel Steering Shaft Stabilizer made the steering more responsive:

You guys know me too well!

It's so much more fun to make a better mousetrap, than it is to buy someone else's....

... and there's plenty more where that came from!

XLR8R- What did you use to extend the steering shaft? Looks like a bolt of some kind.

Also do you remember the size of the nut needed for the steering shaft?

Your fab work looks top notch!

Thanks for the compliment!

I don't recall the exact thread size, but it's the same as the Pitman shaft.
