I am looking at buying another ranch truck. Only thing is this truck was originally purchased in California.........its a 1997 model, does anyone know if these trucks had any restricting or otherwise emission equipment that the texas trucks don't have??

The '97 Calif trucks don't have as much HP and have an EGR valve.
You can still turn the HP up like any other 12 valve and the EGR can be removed. You will have to weld the hole shut.
