Pump Problems?
I had a shop install a rebuilt P7100 215Hp pump for me. The problem is the truck is now missing at idle. The tech believes there is a stuck plunger on #2, because there is barely any fuel coming out at the pump.
The pump timing was set at 13*, the tech bumped the timing up seven clicks to a total of 20* timing. There is absolutely no bottom end power at all now! I told him I wanted it at 15.5* because I tow a lot.
Truck has #10 and 3GSK installed, any recommendations on the pump?

20* is way too much without studs and o-rings. put it at 15.5 and make sure that he is using the correct lift for the 215cpl pump i bileve you want about 5.7mm of lift. thats a good start. mabie a bad injector also letting compressoin back in to the fuel line also. any white smoke to speak of when its idleing?

He did say he tried a different injector and it still did the same thing. Tech said there is no fuel coming from the IP side.
No fuel coming from the IP side???Is that the main line your talking about...Place a fuel pressure guage on the pump and check if pressure is ok...
