Problems??
I know there are prbaly alot of variables, but here lately my truck seems to not want to star as easy and has just totally lost fuel economy. I think i am getting about 10 MPG or so. What could be the problem. It doesnt start any harder after sitting than it does if you try to fire it right away so it doesnt seem to be a fuel leak problem i am lost where would i start. I have had some problems with my overflow valve but is has been doing fine up until about a couple days or so. I dont want to drop in a bunch of worthless $$ on parts i dont need. So a any real good possibilities would be great. Thanks.
It sounds like a fuel leak to me , i would start checking any and all fittings and lines very closely looking for a leak , it would let air in when you shut it off , and when it is running , pump your precious fuel out onto the ground , explaining the very low fuel milage.
Hard starts,
You might have air in the system, that could be the problem, I would try this, fill the tank, drive home, change the filter, see if that helps your mileage, leave it idling for a while outside the house then go under there and inspect the fuel lines for bubbles, cracks, or anything abnormal, it is possible that the rubber lines on the motor went bad and are your leaky culprits, which are the most likely ones only cause the other ones are steel, NO leaky fuel filter either? Lines are tight on the IP?
