Problems

My truck is blowing white smoke and seems to be running out of fuel at higher rpms. It also keep losing prime after it is shut down. When I rev it up it will rev to 2500 and then fall down and stumble. The filters are clean. Could this be injectors, or a p7100 pump problems. The lift pump seems to be working and primes the system well manually. When the truck is running I can see it pulsing the hose. Any Ideas?

If your fuel system is loosing its prime, I would start there. That is a problem that needs to be fixed and if it is bad enough, it could cause your smoke and stumble problem. Since you have a wvo conversion, you probably have the best idea of where it is leaking. If you have the stock fuel preheater, then that is a likely culprit besides the fuel lines. And seeing the lines pulse is normal although disconcerting.

If that doesn't do it, you may well have a timing issue but I would start by getting your fuel leak sorted out.

have you messed with the timing lately? sounds like it could have slipped and youre getting fuel way too late.

Took the day and started to narrow it down.

It appears I have a major air leak. I started at the injection pump and worked back. It appears that the leak is in the little prefilter before the actual fuel filter. It has a special fitting off the fuel line that comes from the tank. Should I replace it and what would it cost, or should I just tear the whole thing out?

I believe what you are referring to is your fuel preheater. The most common cause of problems with it is that they overheat and the conductors melt through the plastic plug. It is possible to take the assembly apart and remove the heating part but maintain the prefilter screen(a good idea).

If it is actually leaking where the fuel line connects, I don't know the answer to that. I have mine setup with a rubber line going onto a pipe nipple but I can't remember what the stock setup was.
