I just finished putting my 96 back together and it will not rev up quickly it idles fine but if I punch it it coughs, barks, sputters and blows lots of grey white smoke I can rev it up slowly and it does fine. I changed the headgasket, cam and installed some ddp 4s. I reinstalled the stock injectors and it dint make any difference. The timing is stock. any advice would be appreciated thanks.

 

My guess is the timing isn't what you think it is.
