Parking Brake Cable Broke - Help!
Never had one break on my ride, and a friends is broke on his 95 - I looked and its broke past the plate towards the front up inside that rubber hose. Can you buy another cable or do you have to get the whole assembly? Is it a dealer only part.
TIA.

Cable
Usually you can get a forward replacement cable. You will have to remove the entire pedal assembly to replace it. Remember that this has an auto adjuster. After the padal assembly is reinstalled, You will need to pull up on the pedal firmly and have another person pull the slack from the bottom so you have enough cable length to rejoin it at the splice clamp. By the way, 2 good pair of channel lock pliers will work well to open the splice clamp enough to remove the old part and then install the new end. Good luck
