Oil pressure gauge pegged!

Oil pressure gauge pegged!
For two days now the oil pressure gauge (stock) goes all the way to max until warming up...110 PSI. Once the truck gets up to temp, 15 minutes or so the pressure seems to settle to normal, 20 @ idle/40 @ 1750 to 2000 rpm.
Has anybody ever seen this? I was going to change out the sending unit but I guess you need a special socket. What and where does one get this socket?
I am hoping its not a sticky relief valve cause I am getting ready to hit the road. ??? No time to take it apart.
