Oil drain plug

Just a heads up while changing your oil, CHECK YOUR DRAIN PLUG! Today while changing my oil I decided to replace the plug gasket so after removing the old gasket and washing the plug in the parts washer I noticed the collar was cracked all the way around I guess I must have over tightened it I will see if I can post a picture

Seems like the people who use a torque wrench end up breaking them. I just snug the plug up with a 8'' long ratchet. It's never fallen out or leaked, in fact usually takes a two foot cheater bar to remove it. Still on the same plugs and washers after at least 50 oil changes on both rigs.
