nv 4500 differences

nv 4500 differences

is the nv4500 out of a 2500HD with a 360 motor the same as ones with the v10 and cummins motors? or is it the lighter duty one? if it is the lighter duty one can i just change input shafts and be safe?

Input shafts and the actual gearing, but I'm not 100% sure.

Also output shafts, 23 spline for the gasser, 29 for the Diesel.

According to the '97 FSM the MAIN (highlight is mine) differences are input and out put shafts, and mainshaft 5th gear. It doesn't list the minor differences.

from what ive read, the nv4500 in the gas motors from 98 and up it has an input shaft with 29 splines. is this true?

is says here that they have 29 splines
