I really hate to read that. I guess I will have to get a Purd 550 with the cummins in it, although I hate the Purd body.

Guys, guys, guys, That is pure BS. Notice at the top that it says in small red print "this column is often derived from rumors and other unsubstanciated evidence". That guy has his head up his backside. Fact is DC had a press release in Automotive News which is one of the auto industries most repected publicationsa few months ago that this project is going to happen. They have not since reported any retractions or any info that DC has changed their mind. Don't you guy's worry, this is going to happen. Take it from me as an insider this guy doesn't know what he is talkin about. So pick up your heads and just sit back and wait

Until DC says otherwise in Automotive News, I'm not buying it. It is not often that a company makes a release as big as they did about the 4500/5500 and then changes their mind a month later but the only guy who know about it is some crackpot on the internet ???

Re:It's an old headline.
Scroll down and you will see that it was posted October 9th 2002. I remember reading this BEFORE the press release that said they were going to build it.

Hm, I was not aware that any other automotive sites besides car-truck.com had stated that they ARE building the 4500/5500s.

This makes me feel a bit better! ;D

Thanks for the heads up!
