no power and losing fuel! help

so i comin up the on ramp got to 70mph at 2.000 rpm and it started to like surge. looked underneith truck when i got home and fuel was all over the back axle exhaust my tailgate and down the side of the fuel tank on the driveshaft side. waited a few days started it up idles fine . took it down the road and as soon as i hit 2200 rpm it surges and pops like its missing or not getting fuel. looked for duel again under rear of truck and nothing. waited a few days tryed it again does the same thing but no fuel under truck. i think its a cracked line somewhere. but what else do yal think it could be.? im gunna take the bed off to help get a better view what else should i look for that might be the problem?

The 2' long 5/16" hose in red below is almost always the first to fail.
Make sure to use diesel rated hose.

Bill you always are a great help, but i just had that one fail actually the metal line on the return coming from the pump cracked so the metal line and the rubber line got replaced and its not coming from there to. its coming from somewhere by the back of the truck by the tank. plus, would a return line with a leak in it cause you to lose power?

There is essentially the same setup back at the tank, plus there is a corrosion issue on the lines coming out the module.

Feel up at the module on the steel lines coming out of it, if they feel scaly, might well be your issue. You can either get a rebuilt module from dealer, or the Vulcan draw straw is a good option if only the lines are bad.

The Draw Straw is used to replace rusted out tank module fuel lines where they enter the tank rather than replacing the entire $300 module from the dealer.

Lift pump, or fuel heater or inlet screen could be contaminated.

If FP is low, first step is to pinch off the return line, will go to 60ish PSI if LP is good. If so, change the overflow valve and retest.
