Exclamation Need Pic of the Fuel Primer Button Please...

My 98 12 Valver seems to be missing the little button/bulb that is attached to the fuel primer.

Anyone have a pic of Primer Button ??

Is this part available separate from the Transfer Pump ??

The only part of the lift pump that is availible separately is the o-ring that goes under the primer button.

Well that sucks.

I'm certainly not paying $200 for a new pump just to get that little rubber primer button.

Anyone have an extra one laying around ?? If so, Email me at.......

A little tip that Bill (infidel) posted was to get a spare gas cap and put a air line fitting in it to put 10 psi into the tank for priming the pump after filter changes and forget about the primer button. If your stuck untill you get your part?

If you are missing the rubber cap, it is just a dust cover, and it can pop off. Since the primer pump is something you rarely use, I would use tape or plastic held with a zip tie to act as a dust cover. If nothing else, it will buy you time to find/salvage the real thing. Check E-bay for a lift pump, you might get lucky.

Possibly a piece of bicycle tubing long enough to zip tie on exterior end to close it but still bend sideways to use pump , hose clamped on engine side???
