Primer Button ripped
Hi all,
I was priming up my 98 12 valve and the rubber primer button came off in my hand and had a series of cracks in it. Where can I get a replacement? Do I just stick it on there? PLease help! Thanks!

Eric

Never had that happen but it seems the reason for the rubber cover is to keep crud out. Even a baggie tied around it would do that. Anything to keep the road dirt out would do for a while,,,no?

Mine has had a rip in it for 50,000+ miles, no apparent problems. If you are worried, I'd find a used pump on ebay and take the button off of it. Or like carl said, plastic bag it or similar.
