Need Help, Bubbles in coolant!

HELP! I'm in need of some advice.
I have a 96 12v, 148,000 miles.
On a trip from Alabama to Texas I started having over heating problems and noted bubbles in the coolant overflow tank.
After returning home to Alabama I had the head gasket replaced. Within 2000 miles of replacing the head gasket, bubbles showed up in the coolant again.
This time the shop checked the head and of course it was cracked.
So now it has a new head and another gasket.
Guess what! Still have bubbles in the coolant. Shop did a pressure test on the cooling system and it is pressurizing above normal.
They are now telling me it is most probably a cracked block.
Does anyone have any ideas or things to check before I have to make the decision to replace the engine or buy a new truck?
Really hate to get rid of the truck, as I just put a DTT tranny in it less than 3000 miles ago.
Thanks
