I bought this truck a few months ago. Been busy remodeling/moving so haven't really had time for anything beyond maintenance type stuff. Put it on a dyno about a month ago and put down 350hp. Felt pretty good about that.
Today I finally had some quality time with the truck. Opened up the pump to find a stock plate set in the middle. So my question is what injectors could put down 350 with a stock pump?

No pics but I do have the shot showing all the various profiles and it matches the stock plate.
Checked the turbo early on. It is the hx35. Makes 36lbs if I drive it like it's stolen. No EGT issues even towing 10k.
350 was on John's(floor It) dyno. (Somebody's gonna ask

Just a good puff at low boost. Clears up quick. Will maintain a haze at full throttle in hot weather. What I'm looking for here is what size injectors might they be? Seems from looking at sigs 370's alone wouldn't put out quite that much and probably be smokier. Frame of reference, these would have been from 4+ years ago. Last owner had no clue about any of this. All work done by original owner. So that rules out the latest/greatest stuff.
dyno may be off a little. and also 370 sticks can put down up to an extra 90hp.... and if they had Dvs too it would put u up there. If the plate is in stock location then i bet the starwheel is too, which will account for the less smoke. Im guessing that the starwheel has to be in stock or tighter position to produce the lack of smoke! this is a nice running truck though from the sounds of it...
Actually the star wheel was full forward. Housing was all the way back though. Of course I couldn't leave well enough alone and slid the plate up. Only had a short drive in traffic so I couldn't play much but definitely smokier and hits harder.
Can't afford to be down with a clutch till I'm done moving and get a house sold so can't get too carried away.
370's and DV's might get there but wouldn't they be smokier/hotter? 4+ years ago I was immersed in the overvalved/electronic world so I'm not even sure what the hot setup was for the 12v's.

Hmm, thats pretty confusing. At 350hp it should be getting warm no matter what the setup is(plate, dv's, injectors). Is the pyrometer post turbo? I made a few less HP than that, and even though my truck is great towing, she will peg the 1500* gauge on a hard run from 0-60 or so. I would also think your truck would be smoking a decent bit too. Does it feel stouter than a newer dodge(3rd gen)?

Pyro is pre-turbo. As stated above, if I slide the plate up it gets real smoky. Turned the star wheel back but haven't had time to really ring it out though, been busy. Haven't been in a 3rd gen but have seat time in faster trucks than mine. Pulls strong.
Had a little time to tinker yesterday. Stock plate full forward. AFC housing forward, starwheel about 1/3 back gives me reasonable smoke and EGT's are good 1st-4th. Hold it in 5th and I can make 1500 but not till about 80mph. Don't know what that will do to my towing temps yet. Now I need more air so I can start grinding.
