More power when tank is Full????

Maybe it's my imagination but my 96 2500 seems to accelerate better with a full tank than it does when it's below 1/2 to 1/4. Has anyone ever experienced such a thing and if so what is the solution?

Could it be that you are experiencing the "1/4 tank syndrome"? That is where something in the tank has rubbed a hole in the pick-up tube and your p-7100 starts getting a little air. I personally have not had it happen, but apparently it does. The only fix I know of is to either pull the tank or lift the drivers' side of the bed in order to access the pick-up tube. I have read that it is actually easier to lift the bed than drop the tank.

That is the same thing I was thinking when I read that Tom. I've noticed the exact opposite but maybe a different phenomenon with a different vehicle but I believe it is from the cetane booster and other additives floating to the top of the tank.

Neither sounds like something that I want to do. I think i'll wait and see if it gets worse or maybe just try to keep it above 1/4 to 1/2.

Could it be better traction with more fuel (weight) in the truck?
