Definitely don’t buy the Dodge pads.
I was going to use the Bendix Fleet Metallic Heavy Duty pads on my truck, because I’ve used them before on other vehicles. However I’ve heard a lot of people boast about the Hawks in this forum, are they really the best pads, and why? I was happy with the Chevy wheel cylinder upgrade that I learned about here, so if I hear enough good things about the Hawks, I’ll buy those instead of the Bendix ones

Why I feel Hawks are the best:
Their hardness is a perfect match to our rotors, they won't wear the rotor nor produce too much dust.
Beware of the warrantied for life pads. The reason they are able to warranty them is because they are so hard that your rotor wears out before the pad does. Ceramic pads tend to do this also.

The greater the metallic content, the greater the rotor wear - I agree, get the most organic, least metallic pads if you're replacing the pads and rear shoes.
If replacing only the pads, you'll need to match them as closely as possible to the rear shoes to maintain the correct f\r bias - prevents lockup\skidding on slick streets.

Most often they do have what you need.
