Manual shut off cable

I am interested in doing it to my truck is I have a bad fuel shutoff where did you get the parts? You have any part numbers? Also be sure to take pictures when you do it as I am interested in seeing it done.

I wont be able to get pics this morning, dressed for work.
Once I took out the solonoid assembly, it left a few holes to moutnt he fixed end too. I used the same mount location on the shutoff arm, but put in a banjo type bolt. then just used sheet metal, and fabbed up a small loop to hold the fixed end of the cable, and put the wire through the banjo bolt. ureka.

This weekned I got mine working. Just used a genaric choke cable. It works good. But I am not happy that you pull it out to run push it in to stop I want it the other way. Will work on getting it to swap around next time I have a chance.

I have the same parts as the original poster.
I welded a custom bracket to replace the original fuel shutdown solenoid bracket... it lines the cable up with the pivot almost perfectly.
P/N's from an International Dealership:
$CDN
324877C91 Cable $64.25
109420R2 Swivel $13.44
299399C1 Clamp $0.96
371146C1 **** $5.39
436747 Screw $0.32
363423C1 Nut $3.16
370782C1 Screw $2.57

So far, so good. No questions about reliability. I had to fumble around a lot under the hood... be careful not to hurt the P clamp... it really isn't the best way to secure the cable. I accidentally bumped the cable out of it. I probably should have put the nut on the other side of the metal. Oh well. Oh, ignore the poor welding, I'm a wayyy beginner in the welding dept.
Hope that helps. The international cable is apparently used on other P7100 equipped engines. IMHO it is a bit overkill - it takes next to no force to move that shutdown lever. A normal push-pull cable should suffice. But, I also expect I won't have any issues with this cable, so I'm quite happy.

i hope this isn't a dumb question, but does everything line up? as in, could i just take the solenoid off, attach the cable somehow, and have it be push pull? or does there require a bunch of other parts to make it work like that?

Yes, everything lines up if you center your cable on the hole where the solenoid used to be. You can use the old threaded mounting holes for the solenoid and center it between them and you will be golden.
Just be aware that there are two separate options being discussed here. What I mentioned above pertains to using a generic pto cable. I have not done the IH solution that is the subject of this thread on a dodge myself but I have experience with it on an IH engine.

Here is a site you can get pto cables from. Have to build a bracket. To reverse the action on it, for push to start, you would need a bracket with a pivot point.
