Angry Lost RPM,Speed, voltage, gauges,& wont shift out of 2nd gear

This morning went to end of drive way to drop off trash and was working then put back in drive to take off and all gauges but temp and fuel read zero and it wont shift out of 2nd gear, Have no clue what to look for or fix, seems like as soon as this truck turned 10 years old little things just keep breaking, not ready to give up on her yet only got 199980 mile on it with just a little cancer on front fenders. Thanks in advance for the help. 1995 auto tranny

PCM...

Most likely.. it happened to me that i lost all gauges except fuel, plus i was overcharging, Let infidel chime in this one, but im 80% certain its ur pcm..

If it is, then dealer is only place to get it, unless you find one on ebay or some other member.. Best of luck, and believe me, read my sig.. I do feel ur pain..

On a positive note, welcome to DTR, sorry you were introduced under such dire circumstances, please add your ride to your sig and enjoy the knowledge and experience present here...

Tx

Join the club. I am still trying to fix my same problem. I was told it was a ground wire, battery, alt, etc... Can't find ground wire, alt=ok, batt=ok/new, etc...=ain't gotta clue. Refer to "royta's thread" seems that he is doing well with the same problem.

if it is the PCM I might have found a place in TX to get them quit a bit cheaper than the dealer. They will test them for 85 dollars and if it is no good they will not charge testing if you buy a new one from them. A new one for my 97 is 300. I don't know if it is coded or has to be loaded by the dealer but I will ask them when they call me about my computer. PM me if you need the phone number. You do have to have some kind of repair bus. but if you are working on it yourself it could be Joe's repair. Good luck,Gary
