Lift Pump

I need some info. on where to buy a new lift pump for my 97 2500. I hear a clickin so i guess it is time to replace, where can i get one and what kinda of prices am i lookin at. I found one at a local diesel injection shop for 130$, dont know if that is good or not, but i have had people tell me that they are only 40 dollar parts, so when i got this price it kinda shocked me, and also i called dodge and they want liek 240 bucks for one.

It's $166 at Cummins here.
If you get it from an independent shop make sure it's a newer design.

It has a larger bore.

I paid $80 at Napa for one but it's been a few years.
Be very careful, sometimes the actuator arm that rides on the cam will fall off when removing the old pump. Needless to say if it falls into the engine it will be a real pain to retreve.
A bad overflow valve will also cause clicking.
