leaking power steering pump

Went under the truck today and noticed the engine wet. Traced the source to the bottom of the PS pump. Another symptom I have noticed is that it groans when I turn the wheels. Is it dying on me? Are these repairable, or is it best to get a rebuilt one, (where?) trading in the core? Thanks in advance.

I have serviced several of them they are just a simple vane pump, but it is much easier to just get a used one or a reman although they can be expensive. try http://www.uneedapart.com/ use their search i have had good luck with them. First though make sure it is full of fluid and that your leak is not a hose of loose fitting, power steering pump failure is somewhat rare.

The o-ring inbetween the vacuum pump and the power steering pump is usally the place it leaks. You can order parts here http://www.fixinrams.com/id14.html

The o-ring was about 7.00 dollars, replaced mine less that a month ago.
