alright the kdp's done ...2 years behind schedule. it was 2/3 the way out so i pushed it a little close. 185,000 miles and no obvious prob's under the time case. it a kinda sucked but it's history so on to the next thing. Ball joints and steering box rebuild. leaks like a sieve. tips, shortcuts would be truly appreciated.it's been raining like crazy here in Boise so the faster it's done the better. i work enuff in the rain so i don't want to spend to much more time bashing cold knuckles than i have to.

no i just knocked it back in and buttoned her up. thought about it but i've seen plenty of bad scenarios and then the grenading of the engine photos. me, i just got lucky. that was enough for that job. luck ended though, tore into the ball joints today. turns out the one's i ordered from rockauto were the wrong ones. they're for a 44 but it looks like i have a 60 up front. ball joints are meaty and the ones i got are scrawny in comparison. got a heavy truck makes me feel good but it being down longer doesn't.

went apesh*t on it. knocked it back in, took the flat punch and flared the pin hole, then tabbed it with the washer. dont think its coming out again.
