Timing takes a special set of tools you can buy or build if you know what ur doing. i found it easier to jus buy them. Snap-on dealer SP500 is the part number cost me $200. what you set it at is dependent upon what the truck is used for. altho 15-16* is prolly a good place to start and see how you like it. do a search on here for timing you'll find bookoos of threads on it
