injector install

i installed a set of 370's in my buddies truck yesterday!! went very smooth and the results r pretty awesome!! with the injectors the smoke is about double or more than what he had!!! ;D he was very happy!! truck just screamed! not to bad for 242,000 miles on his truck! he has the BUG!! has anybody installed a set of 370's? did they make the truck sound different it kind of sounds like his truck has a chug doesnt hurt any performace at all. kind of sounds like when u hook up to the sled and start going.

Re:injector install

Hmmm I put a set of 370's in a 98 dodge and it only smoked a little bit more. I don't know how much better it ran but it was no tire smoker :- Then I slid the plate ;D

Re:injector install

that stinks!! peg legs stink!! at a stop light yesterday he boosted up a little and the light went green and u couldnt c anything but black smoke and tire smoke and he was only at 1200rpm and he likes to drag race so i dont think he will be able to hook very good the way he is

Re:injector install

I am very happy with my 370s but i dont like the way that it changed the truck it is kind of hard to drive now for my wife. It is hard to to off with it,it used to lug down not now it just starts bucking real bad like something is going to break in the drivetrain.. That is my only complaint the 4k springs made it do it a little too i think. just wish i could figure out why it does all that stupid bucking????

Re:injector install

Dieselman,

Mine has done the same thing ever since the 4k went in. I think it makes the throttle more sensitive since it still only moves the same amount but the engine has a much larger RPM range. When I get the 370's I'm sure it'll be worse. Anybody tried the TSB fix from Dodge? Did it help much?

John

Re:injector install

ok i have a question for u guys on these injectors! purchased them for PDR when i opened the box and got them out they allready had copper washers on them! in in the other bag there where 2 more sets of them ones that looked just like the ones on the injectors and a set that was bigger looked about double the size of the ones on the injector! here is my deal i just got in a argument with my dad about this he says i was supposed to use the old washers that was on the old injectors and i said they look just like the old washers that was allready on the injectors plus y would PDR allready have them on if u wasnt supposed to use those washers? and y would u put 242,000 mile washers back into the engine?? i just thought it was crazy what he was trying to tell me. so i thought i would ask the pros on here about this. tell me if im wrong or right? thanks Andy
