Question Idle Problem

Quick question for the wiser guys, my 97 is only two months old to me and I have adjusted the idle up two times already, wondering if there might be another problem I am not aware of. Thanks

What kind of idle problems are you having? I wonder if you need to change the rubber fuel lines above the starter. They are a known problem because they rot and leak a little air. You could also have a slight air leak somewhere else too. Mine had a slight leak on the top of the fuel fliter.

The problem is the idle with the a/c on goes down to bout 550 and if the truck is cold, it stalls out but as soon as I adjusted it had no more problems for about a month.

PIRO 710, your throttle cable may be fraying, Check for a recall.

There are two small bolts on the part (bell crank) opposite where the rod from the throttle cable connects that smetimes come loose or one will fall out, check for tightness.
