On monday i'm going to look at a 98 12 valve 4x4 5 speed qaudcab 80,000 miles if it isnt sold already. Is there any problems other the the KDP I should be looking for???

 

there are know problems with them. Thats the holy grale of trucks imo, wish mine was 12 valve some times.

## 54 block.....been known to crack on the right side from bad castings. Do a serch here

 

That is #53 Thumper. The problem isn't so much on the 12Vs, but none the less the #53 block is inferior to the other.

The main thing I'd be looking for is the death wobble, at high speeds if you hit a series of bumps and maybe on a little of a curve then go to hit the brakes and you don't know whether you want to jump out the door or try to stop the truck you'll know it has death wobble.
