hydro boost install

i just finished installing a new hydro boost unit and steering box. the last thing i did was hook the rod up to the pedal. problem is, i don't see any adjustment in the rod which isn't good bc it's about 3/16" too short. it's not engaging the switch to turn the brake lights off. i don't see any adjustment in the switch either. what am i doing wrong? thanks alot

can you shim your booster out from the firewall? or maybe just cut the rod, trim a little off and weld back together

That's what I had to do in my 1980 Powerwagon. Cut the rod and extend it to the length of your old set up...
