Hi idle is diff than std idle hi idle is the top engine speed that your engine can go to under no load it has a lock on it that depends on what year the truck is

Yours has a plastic lock on it and is not hard to remove Remove the lock and screw the limit screw in until you get the rpm you want DO NOT GO OVER 4000. See the picture the hi idle screw is the one with the large red plastic lock on it low idle is the one below the gov arm which you can not see in this picture.
