Higher Warm-up Idle

Its just become really cold here in colorado and when leaving my friends house who has an 04.5 he has the ability to raise his idle through his his cruise control buttons. Is there any program that I can put on my truck to do the same?

I have a piece of solid steel 1"x2" and 16" long that I just set on the pedal and I can bring the RPM's up to 900, anymore than that and it will go straight to 2500rpms.

Reset the tension on your GSK. You should be able to set it at any rpm.

You can mount an electric solenoid on the injection pump if you make a bracket, and figure it out. It can be done. Someone had pictures they posted one time. Just depends on if you want to do the work to install it or not.

I had a solenoid installed for a while, the darn vibrations from the engine just eats the inside of that thing out no matter what I did to the wires with epoxy, tape, liquid tape etc etc. A few months and it would short out or have a break in the coil. Worked great when I had it, now I just have some instrument tubing bent to fit between the center seat and pedal. Contemplating a cable install instead.
