hearing water after starting up?

My '96 has done it for quite some time.. I even changed the heater core over the summer and no change.. The first gen never does it. My nephew was with one time and even asked "What's boiling under the dash??"

On mine the sound is more pronounced if I allow air to collect in the system.
Maybe park the truck uphill and try to purge any air in there?
It wont cause any harm either way.
