hearing water after starting up?

So I've been plugging my truck in lately cause of the cold weather. But after starting it up and letting it warm up, I hear water or something in the motor every time I rev it, sounds more like its in the dash. I guessing this is normal? Or am I wrong?

in mine it was a partially clogged heater core. took the hoses loose and hooked a water hose to the outlet line and reverse flushed some crud out and no more "bubbling brook" under the dash

ok haha glad it just wasn't me. I was guessing it was from the heater core. I was just making sure I wasn't going to be getting a tidal wave in the cab

My bet is that when the truck cools off, the water is pulled out of the heater core into the engine (contraction) and when you start it back up, the sound is of the water being pumped back in.

Mine had an air bubble in it that stayed. All I did was start it cold, removed radiator cap and topped it off with pre mix. Shook it until all the air was out. No more water noise.. Seems to be a common problem.

Mine does it too. Cold weather only. Glad you asked, I was real curious about that noise.

what you have is air in the system ,,, sometimes you need to lift the front end up some to get the air bubble to come to this highest point ,,, the heater core is just a little higher than the radiator,,, so some times the air will stay in the heater core and give you the sound of water flowing ...

Mine has done it since I bought it 3 years ago.
Funny thing is, I just did the heater core last week and now it doesnt make noise anymore, and I have wicked heat.
Maybe its because the core was clogged and trapping air in the clogged part?

Seems mine has been doing it since new.
At this point I'd think something was wrong if it didn't gurgle.

Mine does the same thing... but just for about 5 seconds when I first start the truck, and only when its plugged in.
