growling sound turning left
growling sound turning left
When I make left hand turns rolling I get a growl sound that comes from the front end, I think. If I come to a stop sign and stop and then turn I don't really notice it. I jacked the truck up and the drivers side has maybe an 1/8" play top to bottom and the passengers has about and inch play because of the upper ball joint play. Can the ball joint cause this growl or would it be one of the hub bearings?

you sure its not wheel rub? it may not look like it will rub sitting on flat ground but when youre in a turn your suspension moves up and down so the distance from the tire to the wheel well changes.
