help replaced clutch now have growling sound

does anybody know what the 4 valved vacum sensor does on the top of the transfercase on a 6 speed with np241 transfercase on an 00 diesel?

Should be part of the t\c shift setup - you did replace the pilot bearing in the crankshaft and the throwout bearing with the clutch job, right?
