Fuel Plate

If I'm just looking to up the HP a little (limited by stock automatic transmission) can I just slide the fuel plate forward a little as opposed to buying an adjustable plate with a different profile. It makes no sense to me to buy an aftermarket plate that adds 40-50hp in the stock position, then 100 more maxed out on travel. Why not just slide the stocker if only looking or 50-75hp? This in a stock 12-v from a 94 with stock converter and transmission.

I slid my stock plate all the way forward and the afc housing and immediately felt the difference. You can also grind your stick plate to what number you desire. There is a chart on here you can search and it shows how to grind accordingly.
